Real Monarchs SLC (13-4-2, 41 points); San Antonio FC 2 (5-5-7, 25 points)

Player to Watch – Defender Ryan Felix has been key in helping to limit the damage in front of the San Antonio goal this season. Felix leads his team with 95 clearances and 16 blocked shots, as well as having the second most interceptions with 21. The 25-year-old defender earned 18 of those clearances in his last three appearances, helping keep San Antonio in the top 5 in the West for the least goals conceded. Felix has shown he can be a thorn in the side of the opposing attack and will aim to do the same against the dangerous wide play from the Monarchs this weekend.

History – Not much separates these two teams as the all-time series sits level at 1-1-1 in the short history. San Antonio was the only team the Monarchs failed to beat in 2017. Both teams will be looking to gain the edge in the all-time series when they battle it out for the first time this season and the fourth time in the series on Saturday night.

Last Five – San Antonio FC has seen adversity in recent weeks, holding a record of 1-2-2 in its last five games. SAFC’s last outing was on the road in California, which saw the Texas side drop the three points to Orange County SC by a 3-0 scoreline. San Antonio last claimed the full three points at home against Sacramento Republic FC, prevailing a dominating Sacramento attack in a narrow 1-0 victory. With the playoff line within reach, San Antonio FC will have its eyes on the prize against Real Monarchs SLC this Saturday at Toyota Field.
