Firstly, I want to say that I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy whilst navigating through this tough period of time. Through a pandemic and an earthquake, the health and safety of everyone in our community are the most important aspects we have right now.
There have been many wonderful things in life that have been temporarily removed recently, including the beautiful game. I would like to stress that sometimes this allows us to take a step back and appreciate what we have in our lives. I for one have taken for granted my every day life as a professional footballer, and I can assure you I am not the only one. When we do return to play in front of our incredible fans at Zions Bank Stadium that pushed us to win the USL Championship Title last year, it will be such a powerful moment that I think about and look forward to every day.
In the meantime, it is important for all of us to isolate with our families and distance yourself from others. Even though you may not think you are at risk, you could pass it onto someone that is. This is a time more than ever that we can collectively, as a community, do our part to help save lives and stop this enemy from spreading.
I think that in years to come, our children will all remember the fantastic times they got to spend playing all day at home together with their brothers, sisters and parents with memories they will cherish for a lifetime. Please take this time to protect your family and the rest of the world.
I look forward to seeing you all soon.
