Player to Watch – Defender Ismaila Jome has shown that he is as versatile as they come for Colorado Springs. The 24-year-old Gambian native signed to Switchbacks FC this season and has already made an impact with two goals and two assists, all while creating multiple chances for the attacking side. Jome helps in securing the back line with a team leading 43 clearances and notching 16 interceptions. Jome is a dangerous presence on both sides of the ball and will be one to watch in Saturday’s contest against Real Monarchs.
History – The contest between Real Monarchs SLC and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will be the 13th game in the all-time series between the two. Switchbacks FC leads the all-time series with a record of 7-4-1. In 2018, the two sides met twice in matches that saw the Monarchs fall in each contest late in the season.
