REAL MONARCHS SLC ACQUIRE JAMAL CHARLES ON LOAN FROM C.D.S. VIDA
Grenadian National Joins Western Conference Leaders Having Scored 14 Goals in Honduran National League
HERRIMAN, Utah (Thursday, August 2, 2018) – Real Monarchs SLC welcome Grenadian International FW Jamal Charles on loan from C.D.S. Vida in the Honduran National League for the remainder of the 2018 season, General Manager Dan Egner announced today. Charles’ arrival to the Utah club is pending league and federation approval and the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Jamal is a player who holds all the tools to succeed at the USL level,” Egner said. “He has succeeded in numerous leagues throughout his young career, as well as with his national team. He scores goals everywhere he goes, and the hope is that he will continue to do that in a Real Monarchs shirt. We currently don’t have a player with Jamal’s profile on our roster, so we’re looking forward to him adding something different to the squad, and contributing throughout the home stretch of the season.”
Charles, 22, played 2606 total minutes in 31 appearances for C.D.S. Vida in the Honduran League during the 2017/18 season while making 30 starts. He has scored on 14 occasions this season. With the Grenadian National Team, Charles has made 13 appearances and has scored 6 goals.

Wednesday’s match will be another “Winning Wednesday”, where every fan in attendance at the match will receive a free ticket to a future Real Monarchs match if the Utah side is to beat Reno.
