Corsie Wins “Save of the Week” For the Second Week in a Row!
After winning the NWSL’s “Save of the Week” just seven days ago, Utah DF Rachel Corsie has done it again! A speedy dive in front of North Carolina Striker Lynn Williams has qualified Corsie for this week’s winner—for the second consecutive week via fan vote. Let’s break it down.

Corsie Wins "Save of the Week" For Second Consecutive Week! -

1.Speed Kills
Courage FW Lynn Williams found herself running towards goal uncontested, preparing for a one versus one against Utah GK Nicole Barnhart – when suddenly – a blur of yellow jersey dove in front her rocket shot. Corsie’s sixty-yard dash covered an immense amount of ground in an incredibly short period of time.
2.Taking One for the Team. Pt. 2
Last week Rachel Corsie threw her entire body into the path of a flying ball – and this week was no different. Diving feet first, Corsie propels herself into William’s shot. The quick reflexes and ability to read the angle blocks what would have been a dangerous look for the Carolina offense.
3.The Best is Yet to Come
As the season progresses, Rachel Corsie has developed more and more. It appears that each game is better than her last, increasing in efficiency, performance stats, and leadership. Her presence on the field has grown with each passing month as this Scottish star becomes a standout for the maiden team.
