Week 11 Power Rankings

Week 10 of the Major League Soccer season saw RSL, a team ravaged by injuries and international call-ups, take on a New England side that was trying to bring their home unbeaten run to nine games. The Revolution ultimately prevailed against the young RSL side, 4-0. GK Matt VanOekel’s spirited performance was not enough to keep the Revs out, but a bright debut shone in new signing Jefferson Savarino as he entered for the final thirty minutes in Foxborough. Was RSL’s young DP enough to hold the club steady in this week’s power rankings? Check out the rankings and leave us a comment below:

“Injuries, international absences, and just about everything else has gone wrong for RSL in the last few weeks. We figure they’ll be better when the dust starts to settle on a miserable spring, but will the season be too far gone by then?”

“It's probably not fair to judge Mike Petke quite yet. With the injuries and absences RSL is dealing with, it's hard to know how good (or bad) his team might be. But a 4-0 loss to the Revs will hurt.”

“There seems to be a weird rotation of teams falling into absolutely dismal runs of form so far this season, and this week it was Real Salt Lake’s turn to take the most dubious of crowns. Saturday’s 4–0 beatdown  against New England is RSL’s fourth-straight loss, with a combined score line of 13-1. Nothing is working for Mike Petke’s side right now, and the team faces a tough week with NYCFC coming to town midweek before a trip to the always-intimidating environment in Seattle.”
