SANDY, Utah (Monday, June 27, 2011) – After a four-year hiatus, Real Salt Lake (7-3-5, 26 pts. in MLS play) will make its return to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup proper tomorrow, Tuesday, June 28, when the MLS squad welcomes the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL PRO league to Rio Tinto Stadium. Tomorrow night’s Third Round LHUSOC affair is set for a 7:00 p.m. MT kickoff, and tickets to the contest – which cost just $5 for RSL 2011 Season Ticket Holders and only $10 for the general public – remain on sale and can be purchased at the Rio Tinto Stadium Box Offices beginning at 10:00 a.m. on game day.

RSL “Game Note” of the Match: “Bomma” to the Rescue
When RSL has needed late-game heroics to advance in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play, MF Andy Williams has answered the call … The now 14-year MLS veteran has scored in all three of RSL’s LHUSOC wins, including the overtime game-winning goals in a pair of 2-1 victories – a 3rd Round triumph over the USL-1 Virginia Beach Mariners in 2006 and in the first of two “play-in” contests in 2007 against the K.C. Wizards … Williams also capped the scoring with a 90th minute finish in RSL’s first 2008 qualifying game, a 4-0 triumph over the San Jose Earthquakes … Williams added to his clutch performances in last year’s opening qualifying contest at San Jose, as he hit the penalty kick that secured RSL’s 5-3 PK win over the ‘Quakes after a thrilling 3-3 draw in regulation.
