2013: Traded to the LA Galaxy a day before the 2013 MLS season where he didn’t see any MLS action but made one appearance in the Open Cup for the Galaxy’s 2-0 loss to the Carolina Railhawks. Scored in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Cartaginés.

2012: Selected in the first round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft (13th overall) by the Philadelphia Union, Hoffman became the first player from the state of Alabama to be selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft.

SCOUTING REPORT: “Chandler’s numbers speak for themselves… he is the guy that is going to score you double digit goals every year… a big part of his game is his assists. He’s a goal scorer but he also assists and not many target forwards can say that… he takes his craft very seriously… he wants to break the USL goal scoring record and he wants to win a championship… with him on our team we feel good about both of those things happening…”

PERSONAL: First player from Alabama to play soccer at UCLA … Valedictorian of his high school class and a member of National Honor Society.
