Professional Career

2017: Hoffman had a career best season in his first season in Utah, scoring 17 total goals while registering seven assists over 2699 minutes played during the regular season and playoffs to lead the club to the USL Regular Season Championship. Placed third overall in the 2017 USL MVP race after earning his second USL All-League First Team honor. Hoffman was the USL’s mid-season MVP.

2016: Hoffman joined USL side Louisville City FC after a season in Houston. He led Louisville in both goals and points in 2016, scoring 15 goals during the 2016 season. Hoffman was selected as the 2016 USL Mid-Season MVP.

2015: Joined the Houston Dynamo after being selected in Stage 2 of the 2014 Re-Entry Draft ahead of the 2015 season. He made five appearances for the Dynamo before being loaned to the Colorado Springs Switchbacks. Hoffman made 10 appearances for Switchbacks FC, scoring 4 goals.

2014: His second season in Los Angeles brought about many successes including an MLS Cup triumph with the Galaxy after making eight appearances off the bench for the Galaxy. Hoffman started and played 78 minutes in the Galaxy’s 2-1 win at Arizona United in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup. With LA Galaxy II Hoffman earned USL All-League honors for his 14-goal and two assist season.

2013: Traded to the LA Galaxy a day before the 2013 MLS season where he didn’t see any MLS action but made one appearance in the Open Cup for the Galaxy’s 2-0 loss to the Carolina Railhawks. Scored in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Cartaginés.

2012: Selected in the first round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft (13th overall) by the Philadelphia Union, Hoffman became the first player from the state of Alabama to be selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft.

SCOUTING REPORT: “Chandler’s numbers speak for themselves… he is the guy that is going to score you double digit goals every year… a big part of his game is his assists. He’s a goal scorer but he also assists and not many target forwards can say that… he takes his craft very seriously… he wants to break the USL goal scoring record and he wants to win a championship… with him on our team we feel good about both of those things happening…”

PERSONAL: First player from Alabama to play soccer at UCLA … Valedictorian of his high school class and a member of National Honor Society.
