RSL’s “Quick Restarts”

After a whirlwind trip over the last five days, GK Nick Rimando has returned to the RSL camp in Tucson after serving on U.S. Men’s National Team duty in Italy. The veteran netminder left the Claret-and-Cobalt last Sunday to fly to Genoa, where was on the bench Wednesday to witness the USA’s historic 1-0 result over Italy in international friendly play.

Friday marks the 27^th day in the last 32 in which Real Salt Lake has been in the Grand Canyon State, but it’s temporary takeover of Arizona is almost in the books, as the Claret-and-Cobalt are down to the last 48 hours of their Tucson-based training camp. After Saturday’s FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup Consolation Game against the New York Red Bulls, the squad and staff will head back to Utah on Sunday before having Monday off to readjust to the Beehive State. The training schedule for the week leading up to next Saturday’s season-opener at the LA Galaxy will be released on Sunday.
