HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, Nov. 21, 2025) - Nine Real Salt Lake organizational representatives competed for their respective national teams throughout the November FIFA International Window. RSL superstar Diego Luna headlined the group earning a call to the U.S. Men's National Team, while fellow first-team players MF Braian Ojeda (Paraguay) and DF Kobi Henry (Trinidad and Tobago) also appeared for their nation’s Senior squads. 2025 RSL breakout homegrown Zavier Gozo (USYNT U21) as well as MF Luca Moisa (USYNT U17) and DF Gio Villa (USYNT U17) rounded out those called-up under a RSL contract.

Throughout the organization, Real Monarchs’ MF Antonio Riquleme (Chile) joined RSL Academy duo Van Parker (Canada) and Felix Contreras (Mexico) in Dubai for the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Earning the call for the Stars-and-Stripes once again, Luna put on a show. Substituting on in the 68th minute of the window’s opening match against Paraguay, Luna made an immediate impact. A high workrate in the press forced a Paraguay turnover, leading to a Folarin Balogun game-winner to seal the USA win over club teammate Ojeda’s side. Starting against Uruguay in the second match of the window, Luna found the back of the net in the 41st minute, scoring the fourth goal in the United States’ 5-1 beatdown in Tampa, the first back-to-back U.S. wins over non-CONCACAF sides in several years.

The newly-minted 2025 MLS Audi Goals Drive Progress Impact Award winner closed out his U.S. Men's National Team calendar year by appearing in 15 of 16 possible matches, earning nine starts and scoring four goals, setting the annual mark for most appearances and most consecutive games played by a U.S. player under manager Mauricio Pochettino in 2025.

After coming off of the bench in a 2-1 loss against teammate Luna and the United States, Ojeda and Paraguay bounced back with a 2-1 win over another 2026 World Cup host, Mexico. Logging a 90-minute shift for the Albirroja, Ojeda showed his class, fighting for a spot to be a part of next year’s World Cup squad.

RSL DF Henry has been a pivotal part of Trinidad and Tobago’s back line as they participated in World Cup Qualifiers this fall. Facing off against two Group H opponents, the Soca Warriors drew both matches, the first a 1-1 draw against Jamaica and the second a 2-2 draw against Bermuda. Starting in both matches and logging 180 minutes, 21-year-old Henry scored his second-ever senior international goal by converting a header just nine minutes into the match against Bermuda. After the pair of draws, Trinidad and Tobago failed to qualify for the World Cup, finishing third in Group H, five points behind surprising leader Curacao.

After a successful showing at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile after logging a goal and three assists in the group stage, emerging RSL star Gozo earned his first callup to a USYNT U21 squad in preparation for the 2028 Olympics to be held in Los Angeles. Gozo earned the start in the United States 1-1 draw against Denmark and came on as a second half substitute playing 20 minutes in the Stars-and-Stripes 1-0 loss against Serbia.

Five young players who don the Claret-and-Cobalt represented four nations at this year's FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar. After a hectic group stage outing to the knockout stage, leaving Riquelme as the lone RSL representative to fail to qualify for the knockout stage.

The Americans and Canucks were sent home early in the knockout stage, however, after both sides stumbled in penalties in the Round of 32.

Villa logged another 90-minute shift against Morocco, while Moisa subbed on late in the second half in hopes of bringing depth to the Stars-and-Stipes in penalties. After a deadlocked 1-1 regulation finish, two penalty attempts saved by Morocco’s goalkeeper eliminated the United States, handing the Americans its first loss of the competition. The U17 squad joins the USYNT U20 side in being eliminated by Morocco - also a senior team bugaboo in past FIFA competitions - in their respective tournaments.

Looking for its first-ever knockout-stage win, Canada and Parker faced off against the Republic of Ireland in the Round of 32. Earning the start and logging a full 90 minutes, Parker led off for Canada in penalties after an 85th-minute equalizer from the Canucks. First in the order, Parker buried his penalty to level the scoreline, 1-1 in penalties, before Canada eventually fell to Ireland by a 9-8 count, crushing the Canucks’ hopes of a knockout-stage win.

Mexico was the lone nation with RSL representation in the Round of 16 after beating Argentina in penalties in the opening round of the knockout stages. Contreras and El Tri found themselves tied, 2-2, with Albiceleste at the end of regulation, and Contreras logging a full 90-minute shift. Making all five penalties, Mexico advanced, edging out Argentina, 5-4, to set up a date with Portugal in Round of 16.

After logging four consecutive 90-minute appearances and even donning the Captains’ armband, Contreras was not selected to El Tri’s Round of 16 starting XI against Portugal, and did not appear in the 5-0 loss.
