Jefferson Savarino, Bryan Oviedo and Pablo Mastroeni Named to MLS Team of the Week

Real Salt Lake midfielder Jefferson Savarino, defender Bryan Oviedo and Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni have been named to MLS Team of the Week Starting XI for week 34 following the team’s 3-1 over the Portland Timbers on Decision Day.

Savarino got things started for RSL, scoring in the 19' to put the Claret-and-Cobalt up 1-0 thanks to an assist from Oviedo. Oviedo would then get his second assist when he picked a pass to Rubio Rubin who would score in the 48' to help put Real Salt Lake up 2-0.

In the 58', Mastroeni subbed on 20-year-old Bode Hidalgo for his sixth appearance of the season. The Utah native would reward his manager's faith, scoring his first ever MLS goal in the 82' minute, helping wrap up a 3-1 Decision Day victory for RSL in front of the 17th consecutive sell-out at America First Field.

This is the tenth time Savarino has been named to the MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week, and the third time this season, while this is Oviedo and Mastroeni first time this season.
