Real Salt Lake was proud to announce Gigi Thorsen as its Ford Season Ticket Member of the Match. Thorsen was honored at RSL’s home match against Minnesota United on August 31.
Thorsen is a special member of the Salt Lake City community and there was no better match to honor her than on RSL’s Kick Childhood Cancer night.
As American Childhood Cancer Organization board member, Thorsen helped create the international symbol for childhood cancer awareness, the gold ribbon, and has been advocate for the cause for years.
RSL also holds a special place in Thorsen’s heart, and she’s been a season ticket holder of the Club since 2011. Highlights of her time as a season ticket holder include attending the 2013 MLS Cup Final in Kansas City, and watching her favorite RSL player, Luke Mulholland.
Among the crowd in Sandy, Thorsen enjoyed watching a rousing 3-0 RSL victory against Minnesota United, and an inspiring night for the Club to build awareness for childhood cancer.
