Andrew Brody and Sergio Cordova Named to Team of the Week

Real Salt Lake defender Andrew Brodyand forward Sergio Cordova have been named to MLSsoccer.com's MLS Team of the Week for week 25 following the team’s 2-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders. Brody was named to the starting lineup, while Cordova earned a spot on the Team of the Week bench.

Cordova opened the scoring in the 32-minute giving RSL an early lead on the road. In the second half, former Claret-and-Cobalt player Albert Rusnak would equalize in the 62-minute, but Real Salt Lake would respond instantly through Brody who scored his second ever MLS goal which would go on to give RSL the win and a massive three points.

This is Brody’s third time in his career that he’s been named to MLS Team of the Week and the second time this year. His last appearance coming in Week 11 following his game winning goal against Austin FC. This is Cordova’s first time making the MLS Team of the Week bench and his goal against Seattle was his sixth of the year, making him the club’s highest scorer so far this season.
