Head Coach Jamison Olave

On Jeizon Ramirez’s goal:
“That was a great improvement for the team from last game, they did a really good job in the first half, and I think we dominated. The second half they [Austin Bold] came out with a little more force. We had a couple guys from the first team, Jeizon [Ramirez] scored and Zac [MacMath] had a really big save tonight. That’s what we want from them when they come out, and we are happy to have them. They are important to the team, and they help the young players, they show the young players how you should perform in these kinds of games.”
On what to take away from this game going into next week:
“Going into this game, we had the opportunity to watch them play in a game in New Mexico. Now that we’ve played against them here we know how they play. We will scout this game to see what we can do better. In the first half we did a really good job but in the second half there were a lot of things we needed to fix. We will take that into Wednesday, when we play them again.
On the importance of picking up points on the road:
“It’s going to be very important, we dropped a couple of points at home. Now we need to go there and try to get some points to keep everything close. Austin and Hartford are very good teams, so we will have to fight. We have to go there, figure out how to rotate players, and pick up some points.”

Midfielder Sam Brown

On the game result:
“I think we played well in the first half. We had good possession and made some good chances. I think we now know how Austin plays. Hopefully we will be more prepared for next week.
On remedy for next week:

“I think in the second half we got caught out a couple times in transition. So, we need to be aware of their direct play. They had a big number nine, so we had to be aware of him. We also need to clean up the set pieces a bit because that is how they scored their goal.”
