Real Salt Lake Acquires Judah Pritchett From D.C. United

HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, September 18, 2026) - Real Salt Lake has traded $50,000 of 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM) to D.C. United in exchange for the Homegrown Priority of center back Judah Pritchett. RSL may send up to $125,000 in GAM to D.C. if certain performance-based incentives are met.

Upon arrival to the Wasatch Front, Pritchett put pen to paper signing a two-year guaranteed deal, the first year with MLS NEXT Pro side Real Monarchs through the 2027 sprint season before moving to a MLS deal for the 2027-28 season. Real Salt Lake holds club options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 seasons.

Pritchett joined D.C. United Academy in 2022 and remained with The Black-and-Red through the 2025-26 season. Named to the 2025 MLS NEXT East All-Star Squad, Pritchett featured in the starting XI facing off against RSL Academy talents Van Parker and Rylan Hashimoto as the East edged out the West in a 4-3 thriller.

A former five-star recruit, the 6-foot-3-inch center back committed to Syracuse University in February prior to signing his professional contract.

Real Monarchs conclude its season this Sunday hosting Ventura County FC at Zions Bank Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. MT and admission is FREE.
