How We're Keeping Rio Tinto Stadium Safe for Fans, Teams, Employees, and Media

As the 2022 Major League Soccer and Real Salt Lake season commences, the club remains steadfast in ensuring the health of our fans, players, and staff comes first. Together with the Utah Department of Health, we are implementing these protocols to ensure that Rio Tinto Stadium is safe for everyone. Below is an overview of the fan guidelines to be followed while at Rio Tinto Stadium. We appreciate your support and cooperation in strictly complying with these safety guidelines. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please call us at 801-REAL-TIX.

We will be wearing our red primary kits and would love everyone to join us in wearing red!

FOR THE STADIUM

  • All stadium areas that will be accessed by any person will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before, during, and after the match by our commercial cleaning service
  • Sanitizer dispensers located throughout the stadium
  • Physically distanced, contactless ticket scanning
  • Beverage, beer, and snack carts are available via cashless payment

FOR THE EMPLOYEES

  • Food and beverage, security, and operations staff will adhere to CDC guidelines
  • All employees will be provided personal protective equipment
  • Employees will be instructed to stay home if they don’t feel well, and will have their temperature checked before entry and complete a health questionnaire
  • All staff will receive training regarding COVID-19 health precautions & procedures
  • Employees are discouraged from engaging in employee-to-fan contact (handshakes, hugs, fan pictures, etc.)
  • All staff will wear masks at all times

FOR THE FANS

  • Strict clear bag or no bag policy. Bags can be no larger 14x14x6
  • Fans are encouraged to wear masks while in the stadium, except while actively eating or drinking
  • Pre-match, in-stadium, and text messaging communications for all guest procedures
  • Fans are encouraged to Text the Fan Text Hotline: 801-996-4042 with questions
  • Cashless transactions at concession stands and team store
  • Please no post-game interactions with players and technical staff
  • All tickets are digital through the AXS Mobile ID app

FOR THE MEDIA

  • Media will enter through the Southwest employee entrance
  • Press conference room and back of house will not be open to media
  • No on-field access
  • No postgame in-person interviews will be facilitated
  • Interviews will be facilitated via video conference

Our plan is designed to minimize person-to-person touchpoints and distance traveled within the stadium and prevents interaction with individuals from outside of their own households. We have taken all measures to assure your confidence in a healthy and safe environment. We look forward to seeing you at Rio Tinto Stadium!
