GOAL SCORING RUNDOWN

SLC: Julian Vazquez, 5th minute:
Kalen Ryden started off the attack from the back with a long ball over the top where a Bold FC defender got a touch with his head, but Vazquez was quick to recover. With the ball at his feet and space ahead of him, Vazquez went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and slotted a shot into the far post for a dream start.

AUS: Ema Twumasi (André Lima), 18th minute:
In a similar fashion to the first goal, a play that came from the backline fell near the middle of the pitch where Lima took one touch to keep the ball in the air and get over the Monarchs defense. Twumasi slid into the gaps and with time and space ran the ball to cooly convert for the equalizer.

SLC: Kyle Coffee (Steve Jasso), 55th minute:
Picking up the pass from Steve Jasso, Coffee dribbled through traffic at the top of the box before he was able to create an opening to take a chance towards goal. Coffee found the shot which Restrepo got a touch to, but it wasn’t enough as the ball found the back of the net.

AUS: André Lima (Sean McFarlane), 57th minute:
Under pressure, McFalane ran the ball along the end line before quickly sending the ball just in front of the net. Lima was the first to get to the ball, and flicked the header in towards goal to once again level out the scoring.

KEY SAVES AND DEFENSIVE STOPS

AUS: Diego Restrepo, 24
th
minute: After being taken down in the penalty area, Jack Blake stepped up to the penalty spot that he blasted down the middle. Initially, Restrepo began to dive to the left and fell low for Blake’s high shot, but he reached out a hand and protected the net with a huge deflection.

NOTES:

- Midfielder Ricardo Avila (ankle) and Defender James Moberg (hamstring) out of action due to injury. Defender Konrad Plewa also missed tonight’s action due to a red card suspension.

- FW Julian Vazquez’s goal marked his first professional, becoming the 21

th
