URFC Trio of Laura Harvey, Amy Rodriguez and Vero Boquete to Conduct Live Studio Analysis for Matches During Tournament’s Eighth Edition

SANDY, Utah – (Tuesday, June 4, 2019) – Utah Royals FC together with FOX 13 and Western Governors University announced today an exclusive partnership to heighten and strengthen coverage of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France beginning on June 7. As part of the exclusive partnership, the club’s trio of Head Coach Laura Harvey, FW Amy Rodriguez and MF Vero Boquete will be providing live in-studio analysis at FOX13 of various matches throughout the tournament.


Additionally, Western Governors University will be the presenting partner of five solid weeks of end-to-end coverage during the World Cup. WGU will also present in-studio feature segments from Boquete and Rodriguez as they share their insights and commentary from their previous Women’s World Cup experience. Coach Harvey will also provide coaching insights during match-feature segments over the course of the tournament.


FOX owns the full world-wide broadcasting rights for coverage of this year’s tournament beginning June 7 and ending July 7.

Utah Royals FC Head Coach Laura Harvey will first appear on June 11 to analyze the U.S. National Team’s first match and preview the team’s other two contests.


A former World Cup and Olympic champion with the USA, Rodriguez is scheduled to appear on Fox 13 to provide studio analysis throughout the tournament. Her first appearance is scheduled at the commencement of the tournament on June 7 to discuss the tournament’s format and what to expect in France this summer.


Spain’s all-time leading scorer, Boquete is slated to begin in-studio analysis on June 12 ahead of Spain’s second match in France against Germany to discuss coverage of the entire tournament. She is slated to appear in-studio on five occasions.


URFC will see six players on its current roster participate in this year’s World Cup, as DFs Becky Sauerbrunn (USA), Kelley O’Hara (USA), Katie Bowen (New Zealand) and Rachel Corsie (Scotland) together with MF Desiree Scott (Canada) and FW Christen Press (USA) will all be representing their respective national teams. All six players are scheduled to return prior to the end of the 2019 NWSL regular season.


Utah Royals FC will not feature in National Women’s Soccer League action for two weeks due to the World Cup break, but will return to action on Saturday, June 15 when it hosts Sky Blue FC at Rio Tinto Stadium.
