During this week’s matchup between Real Salt Lake and Atlanta United FC, Allstate and Univision Deportes will generously donate $500.00 to the Boys and Girls Club of Sugarhouse for each save recorded by Nick Rimando as part of the Every Save Makes a Difference program. In addition, the RSL Foundation will match all funds raised during the match.
Rimando previously raised an astounding $6,000.00 in this manner in the playoffs last season, and earnestly seeks to provide for the Boys and Girls Club once again.
“It’s always fun playing in these games because not only do I have an opportunity to help my team but also help raise money and awareness to a great community center,” Rimando said. “As parents you always want a safe environment for your kids and the Boys and Girls club continue to give our community such.”
With Atlanta’s aggressive and calculated playing style (averaging 15.3 shots a game, second highest in the league) Rimando will both have his mettle tested as well as a great opportunity to help fund youth programs.
