Maund, 26, was originally acquired in a trade with Toronto FC prior to the 2013 season.  In five seasons with the Claret-and-Cobalt, he played 64 matches, earning 61 starts.  He earned the starting role early in the 2015 season and was named the clubā€™s 2015 Defender of the Year after making an appearance in 21 of the final 22 matches, proving to be a consistent performer in the center back role.  He would start 20 matches in 2016 before a fractured foot ended his season prematurely.  He was re-signed prior to the start of the 2017 season and started in 12 of his 13 appearances.

In addition to his appearances in MLS regular season play, Maund also added eight starts in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup - scoring a game-winning goal against the LA Galaxy in the Quarterfinal Round in 2015 ā€“ and five starts in CONCACAF Champions League.

Real Salt Lake takes on D.C. United on Saturday at RFK Stadium, kicking off at 5 p.m. MT (KMYU/ESPN 700).
