Saturday’s trip to Northern New Jersey will mark RSL’s first visit to Red Bull Arena since 2015, with RSL’s 3-1 win at the venue back in 2011 the lone regular-season road win for either team in the all-time series, which RSL leads with a 6-5-8 overall mark (teams tied with 27 goals scored / allowed for an even goal differential).

RSL is 1-5-3 all-time in Northern New Jersey, losing in both 2013 and 2015 at Red Bull Arena. The Utah side’s first-ever game was played at Giants Stadium against the MetroStars during a Nor’easter back in April, 2005, the first of only six road points earned by the Claret-and-Cobalt at Red Bull / MetroStars (RSL also earning draws in both 2007 and 2010).

Serving as Interim Head Coach for the club beginning this week is veteran MLS assistant Daryl Shore, now in his fourth year with Utah’s MLS side. Shore served as an assistant with the Chicago Fire for 10 seasons, working closely with current Red Bulls Sporting Director Denis Hamlett, and boasts head coaching experience with the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers of the NASL from 2010-13. RSL dismissed former boss Jeff Cassar on Monday
