Career Summary

A Salt Lake City native, Kavita signed as a Homegrown Player in January, 2015, after four seasons as a starter at Clemson University.  The Highland High School product played with the RSL-AZ Academy before leaving for Clemson.

Professional

2016: Kavita featured in one game for the first team in 2016, a 2-0 loss at FC Dallas on June 25. Kavita was named to the 2016 Chipotle MLS Homegrown team for the first time in his career where he started and played 45 minutes alongside RSL teammate Justen Glad.  In addition, he played in 20 matches for the USL’s Real Monarchs, logging 1,558 minutes.

2015: A product of the RSL Academy, Kavita was signed as a Homegrown Player in January 2015.  He made two appearances with RSL, going the full 90 minutes in both matches.  He made his first professional appearance in March with USL affiliate Real Monarchs, and would go on to make a total of 18 starts and see his first professional goal with the USL club.

College

2014:  Scored two goals in 22 matches, completing his career by starting in all 79 matches for the Tigers. … Led the Tigers to an ACC Championship and an appearance in the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

2013: Served as captain for Clemson. … Helped the Tigers to a 0.91 goals against average while starting every match.

2012: Started all 20 matches for a Clemson team that allowed just one goal per game.

2011: Started all 18 matches as a freshman, scoring the winning goal in Clemson’s 2-1 upset of #1 Maryland.

High School/Club

Was a standout at Highland High School in Salt Lake City’s Sugarhouse neighborhood before playing for the Real Salt Lake Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona.
