Head Coach Jamison Olave
On the win:

“It was a great win. It made the fans happy and that is absolutely great for us. After going down 2-0 in the first 20-25 minutes, the team didn’t give up, the team always stayed believing. In the next 45 minutes I think we played much better than them, it’s a game, if you play well you are going to score. They had their chances, they put them away and the game got a little complicated. The goal from Portillo before the first half ended helped us come into the second half with more energy. We tied it and then did the right things to go and win the game.”

On Aris Briggs:

“He was really good. We are happy with what he did. He did exactly what we asked him to do. He held the walls for us, fought with those guys in the channel, combined in the middle channel and made all the passes. In the first half, Douglas [Martínez] put a couple of crosses in the box and Briggs was unlucky and didn’t connect, but we were happy with his performance today.”

Forward Aris Briggs
On his first professional goal:

“That’s my first professional goal, I saw Dougie [Martínez] coming in from the right like he did in the first half and I knew to make that run there, that I had to make a good touch, and at the end of the day put the ball in the net. That’s what I did and it was a really good feeling.”

On his first professional start:

“Super excited to get my first start here. I was a little unlucky at the start of the year with injuries and stuff, but I have been working hard in training. For them to have confidence and trust to start me today, gave me confidence to put on a good performance. It is really exciting.”

Midfielder Noah Powder
On his goal:

“They backed off me and once they do that I’m going to take my chance. No matter what. I believe in myself and my teammates believe in me, at the end of day it worked well and that is all you can thank God for.”

On the game plan for tonight’s game:

“We’ve been tying a lot of games lately. We came out here with one game plan and that was to win. We don’t care how we did it, where we did it, or how we were going to implement ourselves in the game. Once we came out, from start to finish, we knew we wanted to win.”
