Utah Royals FC to Continue 2020 National Women’s Soccer League Season

SANDY, UTAH (Thursday, September 2, 2020) – The National Women’s Soccer League announced the full schedule for the Fall Series which features implementation of regional pods made up of three teams apiece. Utah Royals FC will have its first match on Sunday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. MT against Portland Thorns FC at Providence Park streamed live on Twitch. 
Utah Royals FC will return to Rio Tinto Stadium for two matches beginning on September 26 at 1:30 p.m. against OL Reign, the match will be streamed live on CBS All-Access. One week later Royals FC will feature in the NWSL Game of the Week on CBS Sports Network when they take on Portland for the second and final time in the series. The match will kick-off at 8:00 p.m. MT on Saturday, October 3 at the RioT. 
The squad will conclude the series and their 2020 competition season on Saturday, October 17 at Cheney Stadium against OL Reign. Kick-off is set for 6:00 p.m. MT and can be streamed live on CBS All-Access. 
The NWSL’s return to play protocols reflect the best practices previously developed by the NWSL Medical Task Force and successfully implemented during the Challenge Cup. Those protocols have been updated to reflect the reality of home-market matches and regional travel and will influence all league and club actions outside the field of play.
