Tight Race Ramps Up Western Conference Clashes

Real Salt Lake returns to Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday night against Seattle (7:30 p.m. MT) in the first home match since March 7.  RSL’s stunning comeback draw in Portland on Saturday kept Salt Lake on pace with the leaders in the West, in fifth at 2-1-4 (10 points) and just one point behind a logjam in third place between the Minnesota and Portland.

Following the match on Wednesday, RSL travels to the North Star State to face Minnesota United on Sunday (6 p.m. MT, KMYU, KSL TV app, ESPN 700).  With just three points separating third from 10th in the West, the conference standings could undergo a makeover by this time next week.
