SANDY, Utah – (Friday, February 28, 2020) – Utah Royals FC midfielder Katie Bowen has been named to the New Zealand roster ahead of the upcoming 2020 Algarve Cup in Portugal.
New Zealand will begin the tournament on March 4 when they face Belgium, from there they will play against either Italy or Portugal on March 7, based on results from the first match. The third and final match of the tournament will take place on March 10.
Bowen, 25, currently has three goals in 67 appearances for the Football Ferns. This past year Bowen appeared in 19 matches for Utah Royals FC, missing four matches due to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
