While the Monarchs had some strong chances through MF Maikel Chang and Jack Blake throughout the night, it was DF Kalen Ryden that found the lone Monarchs goal with his second of the season after putting away a headed effort.

Real Monarchs now turns its attention back home when it hosts OKC Energy FC for the second bout between the two of the 2019 season. The two last met back in mid-May, where some late heroics from RSL FW Tate Schmitt stole a point at the death with a goal in the second-half stoppage time. Both Real Monarchs and OKC Energy FC now sit just a point apart from each other the Western Conference Table as the two sides fight to secure a playoff position.
