History – Real Monarchs SLC leads Portland Timbers 2 in the all-time series heading into Wednesday’s contest with a record of 4-3-3. These two sides met twice early on in the 2018 season, each taking the chance to pick up three points over one another. The first meeting was at Rio Tinto Stadium, in a match that saw the Monarchs kick off its 13-home game undefeated streak with a 4-2 win. A couple months later, the Monarchs visited Providence Park, where the Timbers 2 took the win with a late second half goal to end the match 1-0.

Last Five – Portland Timbers 2 have come away from the last five with six points out of the possible 15 with a record of 1-1-3. Within its last five games, Timbers 2 had three games at home in a run that hasn’t seen the Portland side earn a win since mid-April. In those matches, Switchbacks FC and Locomotive FC drew level at the Timbers home while Rio Grande Valley FC stole the three points with a late goal. Now the Timbers will have another chance to defend its home when it hosts Real Monarchs SLC on Wednesday at Providence Park.
