Real Salt Lake Mutually Agrees to Part Ways with DF Adam Henley

Adam Henley Open Cup 0606

SANDY, Utah (Monday, May 27, 2019) – Real Salt Lake announced on Monday that they have mutually agreed to part ways with DF Adam Henley.

Henley, 24, appeared in five matches in 2018, making two starts and totaling 260 minutes with Real Salt Lake and made eight appearances on loan with Real Monarchs in the USL Championship division.

“We want to thank Adam for his time with the club and wish him the best in his next opportunity,” said RSL General Manager Craig Waibel. “This move is mutually beneficial as it allows Adam the opportunity to openly seek out a club where he might find more playing time to continue his development and also allows us the roster flexibility to potentially make additions to the squad in the summer.”

Real Salt Lake takes on the Montreal Impact and New York Red Bulls in a pair of road matches this week.  Currently sixth in the Western Conference at 6-6-1 (19 points), RSL is on a three-game winning streak after Friday’s thrilling 2-1 victory over the defending MLS Cup champions, Atlanta United FC.
