THIS WEEK AT RSL

Week of March 18 - March 23

Real Salt Lake

RSL fell to 1-1-1 (4 points) with a 5-0 defeat on the road against D.C. United after seeing Jefferson Savarino and Marcelo Silva sent off during the club’s first ever match at Audi Field.  RSL was down 2-0 at halftime and lost Savarino to a red card in first-half stoppage time.  Wayne Rooney finished off his hat trick early in the second half and D.C. added two more after Silva was sent off after picking up his second yellow card.

Real Salt Lake will look to rebound this week against LAFC at Banc of California Stadium, but will do so without Savarino and Silva due to suspension and four others who are away on international duty.  Corey Baird (U.S.), Sam Johnson (Liberia), Albert Rusnák (Slovakia) and Julian Vazquez (Mexico U-18) will all miss Saturday’s match while away on international duty, with all six slated to be available in RSL’s next home match on March 30 against FC Dallas.
