Change is very difficult.
Personally, my job is dramaticially different than it was this time a year ago.
Just so you know, RSL fam, I've given up 99% of social media.
Which I'm about 99% good with, if I'm being honest.
I try not to take credit for too much of our digital presence & awesomeness since 2014, but I am proud of a handful of things we established here at the club.
In no particular order:
- Goal Gifs
- Using punctuation, complete sentences & getting rid of unnecessary hashtags.
- Dope field level highlights
- Going viral on a World Cup Final day
- Treating every platform differently & with a specific purpose
- The Dunny & Petke Show
- Launching the Utah Royals FC brand
- Establishing the G.O.A.T. nickname
The list above could go on & on now that I'm thinking of everything, but, that's not the point of this article.
The point I'm trying to make has to do with the last bullet point in that list.
I've been thinking a lot about things here at the club since Nick announced 2019 would be his last season.
I'm going to write something later in the season about the undisputed best goal keeper in the history of MLS once I get through processing everything the man has done for this club, city & game ... but now is not that time. I'm not ready. There is too much to cover. Too much to say.
But, I am ready to say this now, though.

For everything. Seriously.
It's because of the trust you, Javi, Tony, Kyle, Dunny & Wing showed dumb, 20-something me, is why our digital content group (Team Awesome) is allowed to do the things that make us successful today.
If it wasn't for y'all, a lot of things would be different. Not only for the group that is lucky enough to get to work at this club everyday, but for soccer in this state.
I truly #BELIEVE that & I will never be able to say thanks enough.
