Jordan Allen Placed on Season Ending Injury List

Real Salt Lake forward Jordan Allen has been placed on the Season Ending Injury list for the 2019 season.

“It has been a long and tedious recovery for Jordan and after meeting with him, we collectively agreed that this would be the best for everyone,” RSL General Manager Craig Waibel said. “We will continue to support him as he pursues a return to full health. Jordan has been a fixture in our organization for several years now and will continue to be a part of the RSL Family for years to come.”

A talented player capable of playing on all three levels of the field, Allen became the sixth Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy product to sign with the first-team when he joined up in December of 2013. The 19-year-old Rochester, N.Y. native trained at the RSL-AZ Academy from August 2011-December 2012, earning the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy Player of the Year Award for the 2011-12 season. Allen spent one season at the University of Virginia, putting in a standout season to help lead the Cavaliers to the NCAA College Cup Semifinals, before signing with RSL.

Real Salt Lake opens the 2019 MLS campaign on Saturday, March 2 at the Houston Dynamo before opening the home portion of its schedule on March 9 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Tickets are available at RSL.com/Tickets or by calling 844.REAL.TIX.
