On moving forward:
“For now, we need to be mentally strong. We are getting into the final part of the season before the playoffs. We need to react, start playing better, and start winning when we dominate the game and play well but we don’t win. We lose against Colorado away, and now we are used to winning at home but we lose. We need to react.”
On team’s performance:
“The team played really well today. I’m not into putting the axe to the players. Beside the two mistakes that led into the two goals, the fortitude by the players tonight was good. We dominated the game, created chances in the first half before they scored – we should have scored one or two goals but then they scored and we were chasing the game. We tied the game, but we got the game taken away.”
On what to take away before Saturday:
“There has to be a good reaction because we play Saturday. Right now, we have tomorrow to see what we did bad and you correct the mistakes. We weren’t allowed to say the phrase ‘lose at home.’ At one point it was going to happen, it happened tonight, but we need to react and move on.”
Defender Konrad Plewa
On scoring his first for the club:
“It’s a great feeling to help the club in any way that I can. Obviously, it’s disappointing we couldn’t get the three points but on a personal note it’s satisfying to be rewarded in such a way but I would have preferred the clean sheet over the goal.
On moving forward toward RGV:
“We’ve had a couple set backs this season but each time we’ve had a loss we’ve shown we can bounce back. Nothing changes in that sense; we are going to look next week in RGV. Still a bunch of games to play, still time to lock up the number one seat in the west and push for the overall league. We’re going to get back in tomorrow, take a look at the film and the mistakes and learn from there.”
