Real Monarchs SLC Establish Home Dominance at Zions Bank Stadium

Through 11 home matches in the 2018 United Soccer League regular-season, Real Monarchs SLC has shown its dominance at Zions Bank Stadium, posting a 10-0-1, undefeated record in its new Herriman home. Currently in the middle of a run of nine consecutive home victories, the Monarchs aim to continue to make sure Zions Bank Stadium goes unblemished as it goes in search of more USL silverware.

In the process, the Monarchs have solidified itself as the side to beat in the Western Conference, currently holding a three-point gap atop the West standings and at times have held as much as a nine-point lead atop the conference. Playing a massive role in the club’s success this season has been its success in Herriman where the club has earned 2.81 points per game, has outscored opponents by 17 goals while earning six shutouts. The club has dropped points at home on only one occasion this season, claiming 31 of 33 possible points at home on the year.

In an effort to retain its USL Regular-Season Champion title and add a USL Cup to its trophy cabinet, the Monarchs are currently on a run of nine consecutive wins at home after drawing with Las Vegas in Zions Bank Stadium’s grand-opening in late-April.

The Monarchs ten home victories this season have the club currently carrying the league lead for most home wins on the year, followed closely by New York Red Bulls II who have nine home wins to their name this season.

“We don’t fear anyone,” midfielder Charlie Adams said. “It’s a great opportunity to get to play at other team’s stadiums but at home it’s great. We know we can be successful against anyone at home every time we step onto the field.”
