Real Monarchs Fast Facts: 8/8/18 -

Player to Watch – Reno forward Brian Brown has lead his team from the front in recent weeks, scoring three of his eight team-leading goals within the last five games. Two of the three goals came against Real Monarchs in early July, where Brown came close to scoring a hat trick but was ultimately denied after Monarchs goalkeeper Jake Leeker stopped a late penalty. The 25-year-old Jamaican has built a chemistry with his fellow forwards to be able to connect and put away the ball in important situations.

History – Real Monarchs lead the all-time series against Reno 1868 FC after four games, holding a record of 3-1-0. The two sides clashed just a few weeks earlier, a match that saw Reno triumph over the Monarchs for the first time in their history. Reno will look for lightning to strike twice this Wednesday when they take on the Monarchs undefeated home streak.

Last Five – Reno 1868 FC has been in powerful form over recent weeks having earned 12 out of a possible 15 points in five games. The Nevada side dropped the last three points at home against Saint Louis FC last Saturday in a narrow 1-2 loss. The recent form has kept Reno in the tight race on the Western Conference table, putting the club 5th with 37 points.
