On returning from her excused absence:
“I felt good. I missed being with the team in Portland -- and obviously we are disappointed with these two results -- but we have to bounce back because we have another game on Saturday. I felt really good out there, just disappointed with the result.”
On returning to play at Rio Tinto Stadium:
“I am so excited. The support in Utah is awesome and being on your home field is a huge advantage. I am glad we get a bit of home games – and everyone, come out to the game because we need you.”
On teammates playing new positions:
“I’m confident in everyone – we have a really deep bench and bring a lot of quality. We’ve got to nail down the basics in training and keep working week-in and week-out. We’ve got start getting three points.”
On team defense:
“It’s good but letting them score off of a set-piece just isn’t good enough. We’ve got to go back to the drawing board and hone in on those because we can’t be giving them away – that cost us the game. We are happy in our other games to get clean-sheets – obviously that’s what you want as a backline and a team – but we can’t be giving that away on set-pieces. We’ll watch the footage, we’ll improve, and we’ll bounce back.”

On post-game emotions:
“I think there’s a lot of frustration – everyone worked their butts off for 90 minutes. We scraped, we fought, we battled, but it’s those little things like a header off a free-kick that gave them the only good chance they have. It’s frustrating not to get away. We had a bit of scrappy play in front of the net a few times, but I think it’s just frustration because we wanted to bounce back after the Portland game. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do it, but we have another game in two days, so we have to look at the next task.”
On team depth:
“It’s tough having three games, especially with the players we’re missing – key players to our roster. We do have a lot of people on the bench though that are ready to go and anxious to have an opportunity on the pitch and show what they can do. We’re going to rely on our bench, especially for this next match and week leading up. We just have to pull together and keep grinding and grafting.”
On returning to Rio Tinto Stadium:
“It’s been a long road trip here – we’re anxious to get back to our fans and back to Rio Tinto. There is something about playing at home that makes you play a bit harder, so we’ve got some points to bring back to that table.”
