On the performance against Sacramento:
“I thought the performance was really good. We are very proud of guys because they played against a really tough team in a really tough place to play and they came here and did everything we asked them to do.”
On absorbing the second half pressure:
“Sometimes in a game you have to choose your moment to defend. To bring on Gallagher when we did helped us. Moberg also did well to help cut out the long balls they were trying to play. They did well.”

On the shutout:
“The first 15 minutes we had a chance to put the game away and make it easy on ourselves. But we fought and held the 0-0 scoreline from front to back.”
On his early chance:
“I snuck in on the quick restart and tried to bend it around the keeper. I started to run to celebrate but unfortunately it hit the post and I wasn’t able to get us to 1-0.”
On the second half:
“We held strong. We gave a penalty, but we believe in Jake [Leeker] to make that save. I felt like the last 45 minutes was a grind and demanded the best out of us.”

On the match:
“Points dropped. Performance-wise, it was good. I thought we were more aggressive, were on the front-foot, we kept the ball and got in from behind. But we have to commit to runs in the box and we have to score goals. And if you look at it in terms of points, we should have had four points from these two games against this team and they have four and we have one. When it comes down to it, you have to take care of business when it’s close. Lots to be encouraged by, but the brutal reality is that we didn’t take care of it, so we dropped points.”

“It felt good. Didn’t know how much I was going to get, but it felt good to get back on the field in front of the fans. It was good. Unfortunately, couldn’t get the victory, but had our chances and came out with the shutout nonetheless and one point, which is better than a loss, so a step in the right direction.”
