Utah Royals FC found their first road win on Saturday night against Sky Blue FC at Yurcak Field.
Diana Matheson scored an early goal after Gunny Jonsdottir whipped in a cross from the left wing. Matheson became the first URFC player to score two goals in the inaugural season.
Utah Royals FC found a second goal in the 85
th
minute when another Jonsdottir cross proved to be dangerous. In an attempt to clear the ball away from Katie Stengel, Sky Blue FC defender Mandy Freeman deflected the cross, which ultimately resulted in an own goal.
