Utah Royals: Defeating the Dash
Last Saturday, May 19, Utah Royals FC got their second win of the season against the Houston Dash at Rio Tinto Stadium. URFC dominated the game, leading in all statistical categories from possession to shots on frame. FW Erika Tymrak registered her first start for the club, as well as the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win. GK Abby Smith also earned her fourth clean sheet this year, commanding a powerful Utah defense. “Utah Royals FC earned their second win of the year when the defeated the Houston Dash 1-0 in Week 8 play. Erika Tymrak scored her first goal of the season in the win and improved Utah to 2-1-5 (11 points) overall. Utah Royals FC are unbeaten in their last five games and will return to action on Friday when they pay a visit to Providence Park to play Portland Thorns FC.”
URFC will now travel to Providence Park to take on Portland Thorns FC this Friday, May 25. The last time Utah played against the Thorns, the teams drew 1-1 after a late Tobin Heath goal.
