SANDY, Utah (Friday, May 11, 2018) – Real Salt Lake (3-5-1, 10 pts, t-8th West) continues its Major League Soccer campaign Saturday evening with a 7:00 p.m. MT kickoff at Rio Tinto Stadium against D.C. United, the club’s lone match at its RioT “fortress” during a road-heavy run that sees Head Coach Mike Petke’s side playing four of five MLS matches away from home between April 27 and May 26.
With a win Saturday night, RSL could reward legendary Major League Soccer GK Nick Rimando with his 200th career MLS reg. season victory. Now in his 19th MLS season and known as both the MLS “G.O.A.T.” (“Greatest of All Time) and the “Wall of the Wasatch,” Rimando owns virtually every meaningful record in league annals, with 461 games played (all starts), 199 wins, 139 shutouts, 41,500+ minutes and 1,550+ saves (and counting), amongst other records.
