Week 27 Power Rankings

A recent surge in form stuttered slightly as Real Salt Lake visited the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, a game that ultimately resulted in a 3-2 result in favor of the home side. “Gave a strong account of themselves in Vancouver but fell short in a comeback – pretty much a microcosm of their season.”

ESPNFC: – 13

“Just when RSL was becoming a playoff dark horse, their tendency to commit defensive errors reared its head in a 3-2 loss in Vancouver.”

“Beaten in Vancouver last weekend, RSL still has won two of three. And it’s 5-2-3 since July 4. That’s enough to stay in 10th. Fun trivia: 10th-year defender Tony Beltran scored his first MLS goal against the Whitecaps. It was his 254th career appearance.”
