Career Summary

2019: Ávila joined the Monarchs on loan from Liga Panameña de Fútbol side CD Universitario. Across 10 games, all starts, Ávila recorded a goal and two assists before suffering a season-ending injury in early July.

Before the Monarchs: The Panamanian international earned his professional debut in 2014 with Liga Panameña de Fútbol side Chorillo, making 31 appearances and recording five goals across three seasons. After a short stint in Slovenia with FC Koper, Ávila made the move to Belgium where he featured for the KAA Gent reserve squad. Moving to CD Universitario prior to the 2018 season, the 22-year-old played 362 minutes, making four starts during the season.

International: During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Ávila played 105 minutes total including 78 minutes against Tunisia and 27 minutes against England for the Panama Men’s National Team. Prior to his World Cup appearances, Ávila featured in Panama’s U-20 side, tallying four goals during his tenure.
