Professional Career

2016: 2016 saw Attinella start and play four games for RSL. Atinella recorded eight saves and posted a 1-3-0 record in 360 minutes of action between the pipes. Attinella started and played 120 minutes in both of RSL’s U.S. Open Cup matches which saw him make one save, and two misses in each respective shootout.

2015: Attinella saw 10 starts for the second consecutive, posting a 3-6-1 record with one shutout in league play.  In addition, he also won all three of his starts in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, leading RSL to the Semifinal Round while posting two shutouts in three matches for a 0.33 goals against average.  In the CONCACAF Champions League Group Stage, he posted a 1-0-1 record with a 0.50 goals against average in helping RSL win the group and advance to the Quarterfinal Round for the second time in club history.

2014: Attinella had three shutouts in his 10 appearances, posting a 2-4-4 record and a 1.40 goals against average.  In 14 career starts, he has four shutouts for RSL.  He started six consecutive matches from May 17-June 28.
 

2013: Made five appearances for the Claret-and-Cobalt, four of which were starts … Saw his first RSL action subbing on for an injured goalkeeper Josh Saunders in the second half of RSL’s 3-0 win over FC Dallas on July 13, 2013 … That win was Real Salt Lake’s first ever win in the state of Texas and marked the club’s 100^th MLS victory … Attinella went on to start in four more MLS matches, posting a 1-2-1 record … Started in a 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City on July 20; 3-4 loss at New York Red Bulls on July 27; 3-3 draw at Portland Timbers on Aug. 21; and a 1-0 win at Vancouver Whitecaps on Sept. 28 … The young goalkeeper made total of 14 saves and posted a 2.03 goals against average and a 58 save percentage … Attinella recorded the first shutout of his MLS career in the Claret-and-Cobalt’s 1-0 win at Vancouver on Sept. 28

2012: Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL): Played a massive role in Tampa Bay’s NASL championship win, making three saves in the shootout of the second leg of the league’s Soccer Bowl championship game to propel the 10-man Rowdies past Minnesota Stars FC for the title … Named to the NASL Best XI … Finished second in NASL MVP voting, finishing a few votes behind former RSL forward Pablo Campos, who led the league with 20 goals scored … Named NASL Player of the Month for October … Earned five NASL Defensive Player of the Week honors, most for any defender and tied for most in the league with Campos, who earned the offensive award five times … Played all 32 games for the Rowdies, registering 11 clean sheets … Led the league with 118 regular season saves and 142 total saves in the 2012 season … Finished second in the league with a goals against average of 1.07 

2011: Selected by RSL in the first round (14^th overall) of the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft … The University of South Florida product was released by the Claret-and-Cobalt prior to the 2011 season, joining the Tampa Bay Rowdies – then FC Tampa Bay – of the NASL just days after leaving RSL … Made 20 appearances for Tampa in 2011 … Led the NASL in saves with 128 … Finished the season with five clean sheets

College

2007-10: Three-year starter at the University of South Florida … NSCAA Third-Team All-Region, Hermann Trophy Watch List and Soccer America Preseason All-American in his senior season in 2010 … NSCAA First Team All-American, Big East Goalkeeper of the Year and NSCAA All-Region First Team in his junior year of 2009 ... NSCAA All-Region Second Team in his sophomore season of 2008, his first year as a starter … Played with the Bradenton Academics of the USL Premier Development League in the summers of 2009 and 2010 … Majored in Mass Communications

Four-year starter at Countryside High School in Clearwater, Fla. … Earned one Pinellas County Player of the Year selection, three All-County selection, four all-conference distinctions and one All-State team honor … Led Countryside to a state championship his junior year and posted a 28-4-4 record with 20 shutouts that same year ... Named captain his senior year, he concluded the season with 19 shutouts and a 28-1-1 record, allowing only nine goals ... Helped lead his team to a No. 1 national ranking and earned MVP honors for his efforts … Played club soccer for the Clearwater Chargers, a team that won the Florida State Cup Championship in 2006
