Career Summary

The 16th overall pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, Welshman spent one year with Toronto FC before being released. The Mississauga, Ontario native played in League1 Ontario in 2014 before signing for Real Monarchs in USL in 2015. A strong, fast forward, he’ll be a depth piece for RSL in 2016.

Professional Career

2016: Did not see first team action while recovering from an off-season hip injury that later required surgery.  He did play three times for Real Monarchs in the USL, logging 76 minutes for the USL club.

International
Born and raised in Canada to Guyanese parents, Welshman represents Guyana on the international stage. He made his international debut with the country in February 2015, scoring a goal in his debut.

College
Welshman split his college career between two schools, spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Siena College before transferring to Oregon State University for his final two years. He led the MAAC Conference with 13 goals as a sophomore in 2010, then earned All-PAC 12 first-team honors in both of his seasons at Oregon State.
