Real Salt Lake are encouraging fans to arrive early to the club’s 2019 MLS home opening match on Saturday, March 9 against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Rio Tinto Stadium (4 p.m. MT; KMYU, KSL TV app).
Before the match, gates to The Plaza – formerly Carnival Real – will open at 2:00 p.m. MT. Utah Royals FC and Real Monarchs SLC players will be signing autographs at The Plaza with games, food and a live performance from Brogan Kelby beginning at 3:00 p.m. MT, giving wide-ranging entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. Kelby will also be performing at halftime of Saturday’s match in The Plaza. The RSL Team Store will be open from 10a-2p.
To accommodate early arrival, the Auric Solar Lot from 9000 South will open at 12:00 p.m. noon MT, with other parking lots opening at 1:00 p.m. MT.
The Plaza: Formerly Carnival Real
The Plaza is open every RSL matchday two hours prior to kickoff and during halftime. The Plaza will feature pregame music from DJs and live bands, providing an atmosphere for fan activities including: a mini pitch, mini foot golf course, inflatables, playground, and a creative corner. The Plaza will have a variety of local food trucks present during pregame and halftime. The Plaza will also have beverages available for purchase, including cold beer. Bag Policy
Fans can enter Rio Tinto Stadium with clear bags that will be searched and cleared upon entry to the stadium. Rio Tinto Stadium allows factory sealed water bottles up to 1 liter.
Parking
Fans can use Parking at the Auric Solar Lot (from 9000 S.) beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon with all other lots opening at 1:00 p.m. MT. Those with parking passes should utilize the appropriate lots corresponding with their passes.
