HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, Dec 12, 2025 ) - Real Salt Lake Academy U18 forward Van Parker has been called up to Canada Men’s Under-18 National Team to participate in their Costa Rican Tour.
Canada will host a 10-day camp in Costa Rica starting on Dec. 12, the Canucks training through the 20th with two matches to close out camp. Matches are scheduled for Dec. 18 and Dec. 21 with opponents to be named at a later date.
Parker has been busy with the Canadian federation recently, earning call-ups to the 2025 U17 World Cup in Qatar, where Canada earned its first-ever victory in the competition, a 2-1 win against Uganda. The RSL Academy forward appeared in all four of Canada’s matches on the world stage. After a Round of 32 elimination, Parker headed directly from Dubai to Mexico to participate in the Canadian U16 camp in the November window.
Parker burst onto the scene in this year's MLS NEXT Cup in Tennessee, scoring six goals and assisting two others in the first three games of the RSL title run - en route to the Club’s historic double, Parker took home both MVP and Golden Boot titles.
Real Salt Lake Academy is the official MLS NEXT affiliate of MLS side Real Salt Lake. Leading Major League Soccer in homegrown signees, earlier this year RSL welcomed Omar Marquez, Aiden Hezarkhani, Owen Anderson and Gio Villa to its 2025 class. The quartet of RSL Academy products brings to 45 the number of homegrown signings, after each inked their deals with the Claret-and-Cobalt earlier this year.
