U17 MLS NEXT Flex Recap, May 14

The Real Salt Lake Academy U17s began MLS NEXT Flex play Saturday afternoon in a dominant fashion, defeating LA Surf SC 4-0. Goalkeeper Blake Kelly earned his first clean sheet of the competition to help secure the team’s place on top of the group after day one.

Midfielder Izzy Amparo kicked off the commanding performance for RSL finding his fourth goal in the last six matches. RSL Homegrown Axel Kei followed up with his first goal since returning from injury to extend the lead to 2-0.
