Team of the Week: Rusnák and Movsisyan Earn the Nod

Real Salt Lake played a memorable match on Saturday night against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Rio Tinto Stadium as new Head Coach Mike Petke led RSL to a 3-0 win in a snowstorm despite missing eight players due to injury.  Two key figures in that victory – Albert Rusnák and Yura Movsisyan – were named Monday to MLSsoccer.com’s Team of the Week for their efforts as RSL posted its first win of the season.

Rusnák scored his first career MLS goal in the 54th minute, then assisted on goals from Movsisyan and Luke Mulholland to earn his spot, while Movsisyan was a force up front, scoring his third goal in RSL’s last four matches while also creating two more chances in his 81 minutes of action.

“I feel very proud of our team grinding it out.  Just playing until the end and finishing our chances, but at the same time keeping it zero at home in front of our great fans,” Movsisyan said after the match.  “Just overall a good, good day.”
