SANDY, Utah - In what's sure to be some of the least surprising news of the day, Real Salt Lake forward Alvaro Saborio has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week.
Saborio is nominated for his gorgeous chipped strike that gave RSL a shortlived lead in the 82nd minute of the Claret-and-Cobalt's 4-3 loss at New York on Saturday. Saborio - who completed his hat trick with the fantastic goal - is up against Toronto's Andrew Wiedeman, New York's Dax McCarty, Montreal's Blake Smith and Philadelphia's Antoine Hoppenot for the weekly honor.
